Contractor to Outfit 12,200-SF Space as Live Showroom; Ceridian Group to Relocate Within Bldg. Interior construction firm Aragon Construction has leased the entire ninth floor of the Metropolitan Tower in Manhattan for its corporate headquarters. The firm, which has grown by almost 50 employees since its start in 2000, is more than doubling the size of its headquarters to 12,213 square feet. It is relocating this month from 49 W. 27th St. Joe Fabrizi of Cushman & Wakefield negotiated the six-year deal for Aragon. The current tenant on the ninth floor, information services firm The Ceridian Group, is relocating within the building to accommodate the new tenant. Aragon is building-out the space to double as a showroom, where it will display its work to clients in a live setting. Doors, walls and flooring will be constructed using assorted materials, styles and finishes. The 78-story Metropolitan Tower features more than 245,000 square feet of office space on 18 floors, street-level retail space and 49 stories of residential condominiums. It was constructed in 1986. Other tenants includes Arbitron and Hilton Hotel Corp., which recently agreed to be purchased by private equity firm Blackstone Group in a take-private deal valued at about $26 billion. L&L Acquisitions LLC owns and manages the property.
