NEW YORK. NY Aragon Construction, serving as construction manager and working with Swanke Hayden
Connell Architects, has recently completed a multi-phased complete demo at 215 Park Avenue South for
LinkShare, a technology solutions corporation providing ecommerce businesses with marketing consultation
services.
The 20-week project consisted of three phases and encompassed two floors totaling 36,000 s/f. The
first phase consisted of an 8-week full floor build-out of their newly acquired 14,000 s/f space on the
9th floor of the building. Phases two and three, consisted of half floor renovations of their existing home
on the 8th floor; this floor remained occupied by LinkShare employees throughout the project.
"In New York, LinkShare is growing because our direct response digital media solutions are in demand in the red-hot market for online media and advertising," said Steve Denton, LinkShare's president. "Our new office
space was built out with minimal interruption and gives our company a terrific space for the future."
LinkShare's new space now features an internal staircase and extensive telecommunications and
audio/video conferencing facilities. The loft-like design features exposed concrete ceilings and flooring;
finishes include vinyl wood planking in the elevator and pantry areas. Millwork was done in the mailroom
and plastic laminate completed the brand new pantry and countertops in the kitchen area. Original windows
were maintained throughout, although new treatments were added.
The extensive work also included
infrastructure upgrades to accommodate power needs.
"The goal here was maintaining LinkShare's network and IT
infrastructure as well as their air conditioning, during the various build-out phases," said project manager
Steve Giordano. "We built out the 8th floor in two parts so when one section was complete, we moved
everyone there while we finished the other section - all the while making sure they had working Internet and
telecommunications as well as air conditioning."
